Karen has been to see me following my stoma operation, and has been a great source of advice and reassurance - easier to talk to than the hospital doctors and nurses who are rushed off their feet, as she is able to take the time to chat, and deal with any concerns or problems I have encountered. I have appreciated her visits very much.

Karen has been so helpful and supportive particularly in those early days when I first came home from a 6 day stay in hospital. Without the 24 hour hospital care of the hospital nurses I was feeling so worried about coping once I got home, I had so many questions, but Karen was calm and reassuring giving me the confidence to carry on and cope. With her 100% reliable visits I know I have learned so much to be able to start planning day trips and holiday breaks. I do wish though there was somewhere that patients starting out on life with stomas could go, physically or online, to seek out different makes of bags to find the best one for them. That was one concern I had that maybe there was a bag that would work better for me.

Karen Totty came into my life at a very physically and mentally traumatic time post Hartmans procedure. Her common sense, professionalism and compassionate approach was most reassuring. Her practical help in obtaining supplies and demonstrating their use took a lot of fear and anxiety from my shoulders. I feel I can move forward into the future knowing that Karen and her organisation are there if backup is required. I will always be grateful to her.

Excellent nurse. Put me completely at ease on each home visit, listened to my concerns and advised perfectly each time. Very approachable and always efficient. Very happy with the service provided.
